Cambodia Youth Internet Governance Forum 2026 Debate

The Cambodia Youth Internet Governance Forum (YIGF) 2026 will organize a Debate Competition under the theme “Youth Shaping a Safe, Responsible, and Inclusive Internet” The competition aims to create an opportunity for young people and university students to discuss, exchange ideas, and share their perspectives on Internet governance and emerging digital issues affecting users in Cambodia, particularly young people.

Through participating in the Debate Competition, participants will have the opportunity to develop their public speaking and debating skills, strengthen their critical thinking and ability to articulate their perspectives, and engage in discussions on Internet governance and digital issues with fellow young people and participants who share similar interests. The competition will include a debate training session, a preliminary round, and a final round to encourage meaningful participation and exchange of ideas among Cambodian youth.

Eligibility and Participation Requirements

Possess a bachelor’s degree or be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
Have an understanding of Internet governance and related topics
Apply as a team or individually. For individual applicants, teams will be formed by the Organizing Committee
