Call for Speakers

The Cambodia Youth Internet Governance Forum 2024 is an important contribution to Cambodia’s government and the global Internet Governance Forum, which serves to bring people from various stakeholder groups together as equals in discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet. 

YIGF Cambodia offers an open platform for youth to freely discuss and exchange their views and perspectives on Internet governance. It also acts as a preparatory camp for students to comprehend numerous Internet concerns and opens a door for them to participate in the worldwide digital policy development conversation.

YIGF Cambodia 2024 Overview

As we look ahead to YIGF Cambodia 2024, our focus centers on empowering youth to take the lead in building a resilient and sustainable digital society. This year’s theme, “Youth Pioneering a Resilient Digital Society” underscores the critical role of Cambodian youth in navigating and shaping the digital landscape amid rapid technological advancements. We aim to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding necessary to address the challenges and seize the opportunities presented by digital technologies.

Our core activities of this year’s event will foster collaboration among youth, policymakers, industry experts, and civil society organizations to address key issues such as AI governance, cybersecurity resilience, and sustainable data governance. By integrating these crucial elements, we aim to cultivate a digital society that is inclusive, ethical, and sustainable.

Selection criteria and Eligibility

• Possess a bachelor’s degree, be currently pursuing one, or be continuing studies towards a master’s degree
• Any nationality included Cambodian 
• Able to create and host an interactive, practical and insightful presentation mainly focusing on Cambodian context
• Speakers should possess a deep understanding of internet governance and related topics. 
• We would like to open for diverse speakers, including different genders, ethnicity, backgrounds, and regions and youth speakers.
